The 7A6 is a double-diode vacuum tube designed for AM detection, automatic volume control (AVC), and low-current power supply rectification in radio receivers and electronic equipment. Units are available in both new old stock (NOS) and tested used conditions. Manufactured by companies including Sylvania, Philco, RCA, and GE, these tubes feature a 6.3V filament rating and an 8-pin lock-in (loctal) base in a glass envelope construction. Used for servicing vintage radio chassis, broadcast receivers, and detector circuits requiring separate cathodes for each diode section.
