6D6 Vacuum Tube New and Used

- Description
- Specifications
The 6D6 is a variable-mu (remote-cutoff) pentode introduced in the 1930s for radio frequency (RF) and intermediate frequency (IF) amplifier stages in vintage superheterodyne broadcast receivers. Featuring a top-mounted control grid cap to minimize feedback and capacitance, its remote-cutoff characteristic allows smooth Automatic Volume Control (AVC) action without introducing severe cross-modulation distortion on strong signals. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 6-pin sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
