The 6CG8 (and its controlled-warmup variant 6CG8A) is a 9-pin miniature multi-unit tube containing a sharp-cutoff pentode and a medium-mu triode in a single glass envelope. Designed primarily for television tuner and oscillator-mixer service, it is also widely used in radio receivers and audio circuits. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 9-pin noval sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
