The 6BQ6GT (along with its improved variants 6BQ6GTA and 6BQ6GTB/6CU6) is an octal-base beam power pentode designed primarily for horizontal deflection amplifier service in television receivers. Built with a top-mounted plate cap for high pulse voltage isolation, it delivers high zero-bias plate current at low plate supply voltages. Its high peak current capabilities and high efficiency have also made it a popular choice for conversion into audio power output stages and custom push-pull power amplifiers. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 8-pin octal sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
