The 6BN8 is a 9-pin miniature multi-unit tube combining two independent diodes and a high-mu triode within a single glass envelope. Designed primarily for television receiver applications, the diode sections are commonly used for phase detectors, ratio detectors, FM discriminators, or horizontal AFC circuits. The high-gain triode section functions as a color burst amplifier, AF voltage amplifier, or low-frequency oscillator. It features controlled heater warm-up time for series-string heater circuits. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 9-pin noval sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
