The 6BC5 is a 7-pin miniature sharp-cutoff pentode designed primarily for high-gain RF and IF amplifier stages in VHF television tuners and broadcast receivers. Introduced as an improved version of the 6AG5, it offers higher transconductance and better signal-to-noise ratio in high-frequency applications. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 7-pin miniature sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
