The 6AT8 is a 9-pin miniature compound tube containing a high-mu triode and a sharp-cutoff pentode in a single glass envelope. Designed for television receivers and VHF tuners, the pentode section serves as an RF amplifier or mixer, while the triode operates as a local oscillator or sync separator. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 9-pin noval sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
