The 6AS8 is a 9-pin miniature compound tube housing a medium-mu triode and a sharp-cutoff pentode in a single glass envelope. Designed for television receiver applications, the pentode section serves as a video IF amplifier, sound IF amplifier, or AGC keyer, while the triode section operates as a sync separator, sync clipper, or low-frequency oscillator. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 9-pin noval sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
