The 6AQ7 is an octal metal multi-unit tube containing two diodes and a high-mu triode in a single envelope. Designed for detector, AGC, and audio voltage amplifier service in broadcast radio receivers, its electrical characteristics are identical to the glass 6AQ7GT and similar to the 6SQ7. Pin 1 grounds the metal shell directly to the chassis for shielding. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 8-pin octal sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
