The 4GK5 is a 7-pin miniature high-transconductance frame-grid triode designed for low-noise VHF RF amplifier stages in TV tuners and multi-band radio front-ends. Operating on a 4.5V/450mA series heater, its frame-grid construction provides high signal gain and a superior signal-to-noise ratio in weak-signal environments. It was commonly featured in 1960s VHF tuner assemblies from Zenith, RCA Victor, Philco, and Admiral. Available in NOS and tested used conditions.
