The 4GJ7 (PCF801 equivalent) is a 9-pin miniature compound tube containing a medium-mu triode and a high-transconductance frame-grid pentode in a single envelope. Designed for VHF oscillator-mixer and tuner applications in radio receivers and TV front-ends, it operates on a 4.5V/450mA series heater. It was regularly utilized in European and American multi-band receiver designs by manufacturers such as Telefunken, Grundig, Zenith, and RCA. Available in NOS and tested used conditions.
