- Description
- Specifications
The Type 35 (also designated 35/51 or UY-235) is a 5-pin grid-cap indirectly heated variable-mu screen-grid tetrode designed for RF and IF amplifier stages in early AC-operated broadcast receivers. Introduced jointly by RCA and Philco in 1931, it features a super-control (remote cut-off) grid layout specifically designed to eliminate cross-modulation and volume-control distortion when handling powerful local broadcast signals.
