The Type 32 (originally designated UX-232 or CX-332) is a 4-pin grid-cap directly heated screen-grid tetrode designed for RF and IF amplifier service in battery-operated broadcast receivers. Introduced by RCA and Cunningham in 1930, it features a low-draw 2.0-volt filament and high power sensitivity, allowing multi-stage high-frequency amplification with minimal filament battery consumption.
