The Type 30 (originally designated UX-230 or CX-330) is a 4-pin directly heated general-purpose triode designed for detector, RF, and AF amplifier service in battery-operated radio receivers. Introduced by RCA and Cunningham in 1930, it features an efficient 2.0-volt filament designed for low power consumption in 2-volt battery sets.
