The 25AC5 (available in ST-glass 25AC5G and tubular-glass 25AC5GT variants) is an 8-pin octal high-mu power amplifier triode designed specifically for positive grid bias operation in dynamic-coupled Class A audio output stages. Designed for line-operated AC/DC radio receivers, its 25-volt, 0.3-ampere heater operates efficiently in series-heater strings. Driven by low-mu triodes such as the 6AE5G or 6P5G, it delivers clean audio output without typical grid-current loading issues.
