The 17DM4 is an 8-pin octal half-wave vacuum rectifier designed specifically for television horizontal deflection damper service. It features an indirectly heated cathode operating on a 16.8V / 450mA series-string heater circuit. RCA, Sylvania, GE, and Westinghouse manufactured the 17DM4 using T-9 glass envelopes. It is functionally identical to the 6DM4, differing only in its heater rating for series-string operation.
