The 17AX4GT is an 8-pin octal half-wave vacuum rectifier designed for television damper service and power supply rectification. It features an indirectly heated cathode rated for a 16.8V / 450mA series-heater supply. RCA, Sylvania, GE, and Westinghouse manufactured the 17AX4GT using GT-style glass envelopes. It is electrically identical to the 6AX4GT, differing only in its heater voltage and current ratings for series-string applications.
