The 14A4 is an 8-pin lock-in base (Loktal) medium-mu single triode tube designed for voltage amplifier service in vintage radio receivers and audio equipment. It operates with an indirectly heated cathode rated for a 12.6V / 14.0V heater supply. Sylvania, RCA, GE, and Westinghouse manufactured the 14A4 to standard RETMA specifications using T-9 glass envelopes. It shares identical electrical characteristics with the 7A4, differing only in its heater rating.
