The 6B5 is a unique 6-pin multi-grid audio power output tube manufactured by RCA, Cunningham, Zenith, and others in the mid-1930s. Internally, it consists of two triode structures directly coupled in a cascade "dynamic-coupled" driver-output configuration inside a single glass envelope. Designed to deliver high audio power output with high sensitivity and low distortion, it operates without requiring external driver transformer coupling or bias voltage on the input grid. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 6-pin sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
