The 6AU8 is a 9-pin miniature compound tube housing a medium-mu triode and a sharp-cutoff pentode in a single glass envelope. Designed for television receiver applications, the pentode section functions as a high-gain video IF amplifier, sound IF amplifier, or video output stage, while the triode section operates as a sync separator, sync clipper, or phase inverter. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 9-pin noval sockets. Available NOS and tested used.
