The 6AS6 is a 7-pin miniature dual-control sharp-cutoff pentode engineered for high-frequency RF amplifiers, mixers, gated amplifiers, and coincidence circuits. Similar in construction to the 6AK5, it features a suppressor grid (Grid 3) brought out to its own pin, allowing sharp cutoff control via either the control grid or suppressor grid. Operates on a 6.3V heater and fits standard 7-pin miniature sockets. European designation is EF96/6AS6. Available NOS and tested used.
