The 6AB8 is a 9-pin miniature compound tube containing a high-mu triode and a power output sharp-cutoff pentode within a single glass envelope. Designed primarily for audio frequency voltage amplification and audio power output service, as well as frame deflection circuits in television receivers and radio chassis. Operating on a 6.3V/470mA heater, it was specified in late-1950s and 1960s chassis manufactured by RCA Victor, Zenith, Philco, and European manufacturers under the ECL80 designation. Available in NOS and tested used conditions.
