- Specifications
The 6A6 is a pre-war dual high-mu power triode with a common cathode housed in a classic shoulder-type (ST-14) glass envelope. Originally engineered in the 1930s for zero-bias Class B push-pull audio output service in home and auto radio receivers, it was also frequently used as a Class A audio driver with its triode sections wired in parallel. Operating on a 6.3V/0.8A heater, it was widely specified by manufacturers such as RCA Victor, Zenith, Philco, and Crosley. Available in NOS and tested used conditions.
