The 5X4G is an octal-base full-wave power rectifier designed for high-current power supply service in audio amplifiers, radio chassis, and television receivers. It features a shoulder-type (ST-16) glass envelope and is electrically identical to the classic 5U4G, differing only in its octal pin assignment. Operating on a 5.0V/3.0A filament, it was specified in pre-war and early post-war equipment manufactured by RCA Victor, Zenith, Philco, and Sylvania. Available in NOS and tested used conditions.
