The 5HZ6 is a 7-pin miniature dual-control sharp-cutoff pentode engineered for FM sound detector, audio limiter, and video amplifier circuits in television receivers and radio front-ends. Operating on a 4.7V/600mA controlled warm-up series heater, its dual-control grids allow effective coincidence detection and signal gating. It was regularly specified in late-1950s series-string chassis manufactured by RCA Victor, Zenith, Philco, and Admiral. Available in NOS and tested used conditions.
