The 4KE8 is a 9-pin miniature compound tube containing a medium-mu triode and a sharp-cutoff frame-grid pentode in a single envelope. Designed for VHF tuner, local oscillator, and mixer circuits in television and radio receivers, it operates on a 4.2V/450mA series heater. It was used in 1960s receiver front-ends produced by RCA Victor, Zenith, and Admiral. Available in NOS and tested used conditions.
