The 4EJ7 (EF184 equivalent) is a 9-pin miniature frame-grid sharp-cutoff pentode designed for wideband IF amplifier stages in television receivers and high-frequency radio front-ends. Operating on a 4.5V/300mA series heater, its frame-grid construction provides exceptional transconductance and stable gain without AGC requirements. It was commonly used in high-performance wideband IF sections by manufacturers such as Telefunken, Grundig, RCA, and Zenith. Available in NOS and tested used conditions.
