The Type 47 is a classic 5-pin direct-heated power output pentode designed for audio power amplifier stages in AC home radio receivers. Operating on a 2.5V filament rating, it was the first pentode widely adopted in American broadcast receivers, providing higher power output and sensitivity than preceding triodes at lower plate voltages. Available in new old stock (NOS) and tested used conditions.
