39/44 Vacuum Tube New and Used

- Description
- Specifications
The Type 39/44 (originally designated UY-239 and UY-244) is a 5-pin grid-cap indirectly heated variable-mu screen-grid tetrode designed for RF and IF amplifier stages in 6.3-volt automobile and DC receivers. Introduced in 1931 and later consolidated under the dual designation 39/44, it features remote cut-off characteristics that allow effective volume control and reduce cross-modulation in automotive and battery radio circuits.
