The 24A is a 5-pin grid-cap screen-grid tetrode designed for RF and IF amplifier service in early AC-operated broadcast receivers. It was a staple component in late 1920s and 1930s console radios, providing stable high-frequency amplification without requiring external neutralization circuits.
