The 7E6 is a duo-diode medium-mu triode vacuum tube designed for AM detection, automatic volume control (AVC), and audio driver amplifier stages in radio receivers. Featuring a 6.3V filament rating and an 8-pin lock-in (loctal) base in a glass envelope construction, it is electrically equivalent to the 6Q7 octal tube. Manufactured by companies including Sylvania, Philco, RCA, and GE, this tube was utilized in mid-century Zenith and Philco radio chassis for detector and audio amplification circuits requiring moderate triode amplification.
