The 7B7 is a remote-cutoff pentode vacuum tube designed for RF and IF voltage amplifier stages in radio receivers. Featuring a 6.3V filament rating and an 8-pin lock-in (loctal) base in a glass envelope construction, it provides stable gain control in circuits utilizing automatic volume control (AVC). Manufactured by companies including Sylvania, Philco, RCA, and GE, this tube was extensively used in mid-century Philco and Zenith radio receivers as well as automotive radios.
